What Is a Parlay Bet?

A parlay (also called an "accumulator" or "multi-bet") combines two or more individual bets into a single wager. All selections must win for the parlay to pay out, but the potential payout is much higher than betting each leg separately.

How Parlay Odds Are Calculated

Parlay odds are calculated by multiplying the decimal odds of each leg together. For example, a 2-leg parlay with -110 odds on both legs:

📐 The Formula

Parlay Decimal Odds = Leg 1 Decimal × Leg 2 Decimal × Leg 3 Decimal...

Example: 1.91 × 1.91 = 3.65 decimal odds (+265 American)

Here's what a $100 parlay pays at standard -110 odds per leg:

Legs True Odds Payout Profit Win Probability
2+264$364$26427.5%
3+596$696$59614.4%
4+1,228$1,328$1,2287.5%
5+2,435$2,535$2,4353.9%
6+4,741$4,841$4,7412.1%
7+9,145$9,245$9,1451.1%
8+17,573$17,673$17,5730.6%
10+64,273$64,373$64,2730.16%

⚠️ The Math Isn't in Your Favor

While parlays offer exciting payouts, the house edge compounds with each leg. A 10-leg parlay at -110 odds has only a 0.16% chance of hitting. Sportsbooks love parlays because they're highly profitable for them.

💡 Pro Tip

If you're going to bet parlays, stick to 2-3 legs maximum. The sweet spot is getting enhanced payout without astronomical odds against you. And always check if your sportsbook offers "same-game parlay insurance" or parlay boosts.
